A solidly build double ended cruising sail boat that is easy on the eye and easy to sail. She is sea kindly, and pretty much the driest boat I have ever sailed. Her construction is top notch thru out. "SALT" is pretty much in original condition with good upkeep and improvements. Beautiful teak interior with solid workmanship. Exterior teak is natural for easy upkeep. I am the second owner of hull # 25 and custom built for the original owners in 1986. Factory finished in Bristol RI at the CE Ryder Ship Yard. Some SC 35 boats were "owner" finished and known as a Gilmer. Many of these boats have sailed around the world and across many oceans. 95 hulls were made and I believe most are still around.

She is no "Dock Queen" and has her original gel coat and a few minor scrapes and bumps. Her hull is solid, no blisters. She looks better than her age and performs as well. We sail her regularly around Long Island and New England waters.

I welcome inquiries and will answer all to the best of my knowledge of this fine boat. I know her well inside and out because this is the second SC 35 I have owned. I will tell you about that when I meet you. Summertime she lives on her mooring in a creek in Southold, NY where it is easy to show. Salt will be in the water from May thru October. I will assist in anyway I can to facilitate a smooth transition. We will be sad to see her go but would love to see this boat go to someone who is able to really use her and even sail her around the world! This a boat that will take you there and back comfortably safely and won't break the bank.

Will she need some upgrades? all boats need upkeep and upgrades but that's up to you. You can sail her away now.

NOTE: Solar panels are now mounted on top of the dinghy davits that were installed in 2024.
